This Sunday, 28 October, Oleg Toropygin will hold a presentation and a workshop in our studio on the architectonics of the human body.
Oleg is a great artist and sculptor. He started his artistic journey when he was just one-and-a-half years old, and by the age of nine his works were already on display in Russian and foreign galleries.
Oleg graduated from the Stroganov Academy, and is a member of the Moscow Union of Artists and the Moscow Union of Sculptors. He has more than 25 years of teaching experience, and owns a YouTube channel about academic painting, drawing, and sculpting.
The workshop programme covers the following topics:
— movement and composition of the human body in drawing, and the importance of these points;
— an analysis of the nature of body parts;
— an analysis of architectonics;
— the key steps in sketching and drawing the human body;
— a sketching activity with the teacher's commentary.
